Winner of Creative Imagery in The Bird Photographer of The Year Competition

I was delighted to win the Create Imagery category of the Bird Photographer Of The Year competition with my image of a Tufted Duck.

The awards ceremony and presentations took place at the Birdfair at Rutland Water. Here is my winning entry:

The photograph was taken at WWT London.

It was a pleasure to be presented with the award in a full marquee by top campaigner and top bloke Chris Packham.  Chris seemed particularly supportive of the image, with the comment "When I saw this photograph I nearly broke down and cried, I was so envious. I loved this photograph".

My bit is 28 minutes in, but the whole thing is worth a watch if you're into nature photography.
